During the third quarter of 2024, the top Maps and Navigation apps on the Android platform in Mexico showcased varying trends in downloads and user engagement, according to data from Sensor Tower.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from 127K in early July and reaching a peak of 171K in mid-September. Its weekly active users demonstrated a steady rise, beginning with approximately 4.4M and climbing to around 4.8M by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a stable download rate, with figures fluctuating between 106K and 140K throughout the quarter. The app's weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting from 4.1M and peaking at 4.4M in late September, before a slight dip to 4.2M at the end of the quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides showed a gradual increase in downloads, peaking at 99K in early September. The active user base remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 1.9M and 2.2M throughout the quarter.

Phone Tracker initially saw high download numbers, reaching 135K in early August, but experienced a sharp decline to 12K by the end of September. Despite this, its active users grew from 191K to 433K over the quarter, indicating increased engagement among its user base.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced consistent weekly download numbers, ranging from 46K to 66K. The app's active user count increased from approximately 497K to 581K, peaking in late September, before settling at 515K at the quarter's close.
